大餅的記事本

每個片段裡面，我都看見沙上有兩對足印，一對是我的，另一對是主的。

看過最後的一個片段，我再回頭一望沙上的足印。怎料我發現有許多時候，沙上只有一對足印；並且是在我最低沉和難過的時候，每每會這樣。

這真令我困惑，於是我質問主道：「主啊，您曾經應許過，當我立志跟從您，您便一生一世與我同行。可是我卻發現，在我最受困擾的時候 ，沙上只留下一對足印。我真不明白，為何在我最需要您的時候，您卻偏偏要離我而去。」

主就這樣回答我說：

「我所寶貝的兒子，我愛你，我絕對不會在你痛苦和試探的時候離開你。當你看見沙上只有一對足印的時候，其實那時是我保抱著你。」

One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
There was only one set of footprints.
I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life.
This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.

“Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You, But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why when I needed You most, You leave me.”

He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”
